Many of my next posts will include article reviews. My internship requires me to read and comment on nine articles related to library science. Because of my second Masters degree in Russian and East European Studies, my articles will also have a Slavic slant to them. Many of them are written by librarians from the geographic area and cover such topics as publishing, acquisitions, digitizations, and metadata. Most of the articles I have selected focus on digitization in some form or another. These articles are pertinent to anyone looking to become a Slavic specialist, but are also useful for anyone working in an academic library or digital libraries. Since I'm not entirely sure which direction my career will take me, I figured that this list will give me a wide scope from which to glean information.
